The best way is through a two-step process. First, approve a 3D printed bottle sample and check its volume with water. Second, after the mold is made, the supplier should send you the first bottle samples from the actual mold for a final volume check and approval.

4. What happens if the mold doesn't fit my blowing machine when it arrives?
This is a serious problem that is best avoided through proactive measures. Ensure your supplier has the exact mounting dimensions for your machine model before they start. A reliable supplier will guarantee the fit. If a mistake still occurs, a reputable partner will work with you to find a solution, which could involve remaking parts or compensating you for local modification costs.

5. Is it cheaper to make an aluminum blow mold or a steel mold?
Initially, an aluminum blow mold (using 7075 or 6061) is often slightly cheaper and faster to manufacture than a steel one. The main benefit of aluminum is its superior cooling, leading to faster cycle times and lower production cost per bottle. A steel (S136) mold has a higher initial cost but offers maximum durability and corrosion resistance, making it better for hot-fill applications or extremely long production runs.
